I built up my tower so high that it was as tall as my head. "Wow!" My dad told me. I left the room. I came into the room later and found the tower broken. I broke out in tears and mumbled "I wanted to smash it...". My mom came and said, "It will be alright". My dad came in and said, "It won't do you any good to cry about it". Then my brother came in and told me what happened. "After you left the room, I saw kitty sneak in before the door closed. I knew she was up to no good mischief. So I debated whether or not to go in. I decided to go in. I walked in and saw the tower smashed on the floor." He said. "From now on, I will smash the tower before kitty can get to it." I told myself later.
Perhaps now is the time to look at what we can bring together with the playdough in creating new shapes and forms that plant new seeds. Consider these new seeds as they transform into ideas and begin to build again using the blocks. Who knows what new ideas will happen, that may open you up for new conversations.
Carefully, slowly, the tower of blocks grew from the living room floor. Placing each level, balancing the different shapes, took great concentration from the young mind. "I'm building the tallest tower in the world", she said to herself. It reached her knees, then her waist and rose towards the top of her head. But then she heard her mom open the oven door, remove the baking sheet and everything changed. Godzilla was coming, and he loves chocolate chip cookies!
