(a definition below to help you tell, but first a rant)

I think we mistakenly label certain people creative and others not. We even use "Creative" or "Creativity" as a trait we rate our employees against.

A 4 out of 5 in creativity.

But what does that mean?

I don't intend to diminish the importance of recognizing creativity - for I believe it's never been more important. Instead, I want to change the definition in order to broaden the pool of those who qualify.

Creativity: The ability to see something ordinary as more than that.

I believe we can all learn to see this way, to imagine beyond the ordinary.

To help, I've put together this community.

Twice a week we’ll send you a very short story or writing prompt (I'm talking 1-3 sentences usually) about an ordinary item. To fuel your creativity, “that they may run who read it.”
